Reviews on Spider's Thread

This story thought me that even to the slightest good deeds we make it creates a big difference, and that everyone deserves a second chance no matter he had before there will always be that small goodness inculcated in his heart, and that selfishness and pride will not get you to anything instead it will just drag you down.

Reviews on New Yorker in Tondo

I am quite fond of this story because for me it depicts how love brought Kikay back to reality, the story reiterates how common a Filipino act when one had gone to abroad, whenever they come back here some have become proud of the little achievement that they have got,  forgetting their old life and humble beginnings and even loosing that suppose to be happy memories they had just to prove that they become brand new.

For me there is nothing wrong if people went to foreign countries, adapting to the culture, even their means and ways as long as we still have in our self that Filipino heart, to remind us that what we are in the past is a big part of our future, either it is bad or good there will be no tomorrow if there is no yesterday.

And the story also taught me that no matter where we have been to the parts of the world still there is no place like home.

Asian Literature alone is diverse and vibrant. Add to that the splendor of African Literature, and you get enriching Afro Asian Literature.

The combination of two great races; Africans and Asians, created a dynamic impact to the world of literature, every stories, myths and legends are simply captivating, the uniqueness of our culture to whom it is rooted adds a different flavor from the rest of the literature in the world.

This work of art does not only consist of amazing stories but also moral values, in which inculcated in every reader, which I think is important because reader's like me would be able to learn more than the background of our people and ancestors but also how they had preserve every values we have from the beginning.
